  • Lacrosse the Bay is an organization offering youth lacrosse programs for boys and girls in the Monterey Bay area. We have lacrosse going on year-round! Weather it's a weekly session, a holiday camp, visiting your school, or playing our spring season, we are always up to something!

  • Our two spring teams are:

    • Pelicans Lacrosse (Monterey, Seaside, Marina, Pebble Beach, Pacific Grove, Carmel)

    • Salinas Lacrosse (Salinas, Prunedale, Castroville, Toro, San Benancio, Spreckels)

    Both teams offer programs for grades 3-8, and we also have K-2 programs. For more detailed information, visit our Rec Teams page. Your choice of team is up to your personal preference and distance.

  • Our main lacrosse season takes place in the spring. However, we offer various camps and sessions throughout the year. Make sure you're subscribed to our emails and follow our Instagram page to stay updated on upcoming events!

  • Yes! We provide equipment if needed. However, here's what each player typically requires:

    For boys:

    • Lacrosse helmet

    • Boys' stick

    • Elbow pads

    • Shoulder pads

    • Gloves

    • Kidney pads

    • Cleats

    • Mouthguard

    • Optional cup

    • Running shoes

    • Water bottle.

    • Unless your boy's hair is short, it must be pulled back from the eyes with a scrunchie or headband to avoid injury.

    For girls

    • Girls' lacrosse stick

    • Cleats

    • Mouthguard

    • Goggles (or a girls' lacrosse helmet)

    • Running shoes

    • Water bottle

    • Your girl's hair MUST be pulled up every practice to avoid injuries!

  • Our programs are designed for children in grades K-8. The K-2 program is an introductory lacrosse experience, while our 3-8 programs are more competitive. Still, all skill ranges are accepted here!
